United Hotel

A hotel functions as a city-scale microcosm absorbing and projecting the local culture, temperament, and rhythms. It is where travelers from around the world pause and settle, redefining their experience of life.

In this project, traditional solid partitions between bedroom and living area are dissolved and replaced with glass frameworks that lightly delineate the public and private realms. The space becomes both room and living area, its identity shifting with the user’s interpretation. The overall openness extends the visual depth, and within the existing long, loop-shaped layout, three island-like volumes are introduced. These volumes naturally guide circulation into a fluid, flowing loop. A multi-functional island merges with the bar; the bed’s backdrop defines a dressing zone; and the bathtub nestles beside the basin. Form follows function, emerging subtly within the space and creating a new spatial order by softening boundaries and deepening spatial relationships.

Material selection centers on Green Onyx Marble as a visual anchor, with brick-toned tiles running throughout the suite. Walls are accented with a natural, unembellished blush texture. A rounded terrazzo island contributes sculptural quality. Natural elements ground space, achieving aesthetics of refined simplicity and understated elegance.

Through the accumulated encounters of travelers, evening gatherings, and brand events, the space accrues memory over time—contributing to the evolving identity of United Hotel.
